As well as being the creator of nearlyanisland.com, Roger Pons-Bolton is a dedicated and experienced educator currently working as a part-time tutor on a BTEC Extended Diploma in Graphic Design, a qualification equivalent to three A-levels. The role involves guiding students through the creative and technical aspects of design, helping them develop industry-ready skills.

Roger's teaching experience spans various BTEC, UAL, and LOCN qualifications, covering different levels and catering to a wide range of learners, from 16 to 80 years old. He has worked in both further and higher education environments, and professional training settings, ensuring students and trainees gain practical, real-world skills in design and media.

Beyond formal education, Roger has extensive experience in delivering creative software training to individuals and staff groups within companies. Whether face-to-face or online, training sessions are tailored to suit different learning styles, ensuring that participants gain confidence in using industry-standard tools and techniques.

Software training is offered using: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro.

Roger holds a Level 5 teaching qualification and has an up-to-date DBS certificate, reinforcing a commitment to professional standards and safeguarding in education.
